A busy Tribeca SmartSitting family is looking for a part-time nanny for their son and daughter, ages 12 and 9! The kids are both busy bees with an active after school schedule, so the family is looking for a candidate who can keep up with them, is organized, and wants to grow with their family! Their ideal schedule for this position is Monday to Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with flexibility, and the family is happy to guarantee at least 20 hours a week. The right candidate will also be comfortable prepping the kids' dinner, taking public transportation with them, helping with homework, and preparing them for the next day. Mom and Dad send out weekly agendas at the top of the week, so someone who is attentive to detail and super organized is a must! The rate for this role is $25-30/hour gross for 20 hours/week guaranteed. They are also happy to offer in a metrocard, PTO, and sick days to professionalize the role even more! They're looking to start interviewing ASAP, so jump on this opportunity! I also wanted to note again that they can be FLEXIBLE if you have conflicts that come up for auditions, appointments, etc. They are comfortable with this and/or a shorter commitment to start!

Schedule

The core schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday. from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM. They may have occasional evening needs, if the nanny is available or interested, and also offer FLEXIBILITY if their nanny has any conflicts that come up! This is not as common, so if you are looking for a new position with flexibility for the occasional conflict, do apply! The family is happy to guaranteed 20 hours/week.

About the Children

Boy, 12 - in 6th grade, VERY active, loves sports, and is busy every day after school with football, parkour, basketball, swimming and Mathnasium.   Girl, 9 - in 4th grade, super sweet, loves playing dolls and make believe with her current nanny.  She is also very busy with tennis, soccer, art and playdates!

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this position will include school pickups, followed by taking both kids around Downtown NYC for activities, which usually wrap up around 5 or 6 PM. The nanny will also be responsible for some light meal prep, helping with homework, and ensuring that backpacks are ready for the next day. The family has a housekeeper, so there is no need for help with cleaning other than light tidying if an activity is done. Occasionally walking their pup, too. The family may occasionally need someone to stay overnight, though this will only be once or twice a year at most! They would certainly give notice and would offer an overnight stipend if it was ever needed.
