Overview

This returning Smart Family in Gramercy Park is looking for a full-time, weekend, live-in Nanny to take care of 3 sweet and playful kiddos. You'll travel almost every weekend with the family, primarily to their second home in Westchester, but also to vacation spots for sking, etc. You'll work in tandem with Mom and Dad and frequenlty grandparents as well. They are very experienced employers who incredibly value their caregivers and really respect Nannies! It's $35 to $40/hour gross for 36 hours/week guaranteed, plus your own room, an overnight rate, car service to and from their apartment, sick time, PTO, and a healthcare stipend if needed! This is a fantastic opportunity with a great family so don't delay!

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The family is looking for somebody who can swim, has a passport (or can obtain one upon hire), and has the availability to go out of town with them some weeks, in addition to the weekend, with advance notice. They would prefer a person who can make this position their sole full time job. Do you have a driver's license? This isn't required but it is prefered. Personality wise, they'd a sense of humor since it's an intimate weekend position. You'll be working in tandem with Mom and Dad and Grandparents, somebody who wants to be part of this dynamic is key. Coming up with arts and craft ideas would also be truly incredible! If you are helpful, want to pitch in, yet have a really fun personality, this is the job for you! They're covid conscious, since the younger two kids can't get vaccinated yet, so making sure you're match their approach is key.

Schedule

Friday: 2:00 PM to 8/9 PM Saturday: 6:00 AM to 8/9 PM Sunday: 6:00 AM to 8/9PM You will be picked up by a service on Friday afternoon and taken to the family's house and then also provided a car home on Sunday evening.

About the Children

Girl, 5 - She's in Kindergarten and just learning to read and write. She's very excited about this! She loves to do imaginative play and board games with her sister. Loves to play outside. Girl, 4 - She's in pre-K and just learning to read as well, though she's not as far along as her sister. She loves imaginative play! She is really in the best of both worlds at the moment - she loves to hang out with her older sister and her friends but also equally enjoys getting to be the "big kid" to her older brother! Boy, 1.5 - He's a happy guy who's just excited to be involved! He just started walking and took his time learning that skill. He gets a lot of one on one time with the nanny during the week and then loves times where he gets to be included in activities with the girls. He's on one nap.

Responsibilities

You'll travel with the family on Friday nights to their weekend destination, usually their second home in Westchester. They have a large vehicle and you will not be awkwardly squished! In Westchester, the Mom's parents live close-by and they usually take the girls for the evening so you'll be at home caring for the boy until his bedtime at 7PM. You will not be on-call during the evening and can relax in your own room. On Saturday morning, you wake up at 6/6:30AM and prepare the boy's cereal which can take a little bit of prep. All three kids are up at 7AM and you'll get them breakfast and play with them in the morning hours until lunch. After lunch, the boy goes down for this nap, usually about two hours and the girls do two hours of quiet time as well, so you'll have some down time, and then everyone goes out for a family activity like a nature walk, etc. You'll prep dinner, do bath time and the night routine and be done around 8PM or 9PM, when the girls go down. Sunday is roughly the same, except you'll travel with the family back to the city and after the kids go to sleep, you'll be provided a car service home.

Please indicate if you can swim, have a passport, have a driver's license, and would be willing to occasionally travel for longer periods of time. Parents and oldest girl are all fully vaccinated and boosted and they're looking for a Nanny who is also vaccinated and boosted.
