About the Children

11-year-old girl- enjoys softball and being with her friends. She has been enjoying school and getting closer with friends after the pandemic. She is very academic, creative, literary, and curious. She sometimes has difficulty sitting still and may make noises and sing. She is becoming more comfortable walking to the UES on her own. 9-year-old girl- She is very introverted and focused on reading and homework and iPad (when she has screen time, which is just a little in the mornings or face-timing with friends). She prefers quiet moments, so she is easily irritated when her older sister makes noises. She can be pretty rigid and judgmental of her classmates, so the family is working on helping her express the reasoning behind her thinking. She suffers from some depression and the whole family is committed on working together to help her through this. Sometimes she needs time to herself to collect herself or sit with her emotions. She can be highly sensitive and negative at times, so a kind and gentle guiding hand who can also give her space is ideal.

Responsibilities

On Mondays, you would pick up the girls on the UES, get snacks with them, take the bus uptown; homework; prepare dinner; help bathe the youngest and get them into bed. On Wednesday, you would Pick up the youngest and Uber to her therapist appointment after getting her snacks.
