Overview

This new Smart family is looking for long-term but part-time child care for their three boys. They are all in elementary school now, and though they no longer need a full-time sitter, their youngest is four, and they would like to have a steady part-time sitter who can make a regular commitment. The family can guarantee the 20 hours/week Monday to Friday 2 pm to 6 pm and may offer more hours, earlier or later with notice. This position will come with benefits such as monthly MetroCard, Healthcare, PTO & Sick Time, and Covid time

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The ideal sitter would be somewhat experienced with household management, tidy, and conscious of their home and childcare dually. Someone proactive, loving, warm, timely, and health-conscious. Someone mature, experienced with three kids and can maintain a boundary with them. There are a lot of schedules happening at one time, so someone that is organized is an essential quality.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 12-6 PM Flexibility to assist with full days if the kids are out of school or with later nights should mom and dad go out.

About the Children

Boy, almost 10- He is in fourth grade. Boy, almost 8- He is in second grade. Boy, 4- He is in pre-k. They all go to school about a block away and are in school most days until 2:50 PM. They have activities and love playdates. They are pretty energetic and get along for the most part.

Responsibilities

The sitter will pick the boys up from school, take them to their activities, arrange playdates, and plan creative activities to keep them engaged. For those who like more hours, the family also needs someone to organize the household chores such as grocery shopping in the neighborhood and preparing snacks and dinner.

Additional Information

The parents are vaccinated and boosted and prefer to have someone who is as well. The littlest is too young to be vaccinated, so they are super conscious of this.
