First-time parents of a 10-month baby girl, in Ditmas Park, are looking for an experienced, loving, direct, and playfully nanny to join their team. The baby girl brings complete joy to her parent's life. She has a natural joy, curiosity, and determination. Her parents call this the "fire" within her. They are looking for someone who can help keep that fire alive, nurture it, and grow it. This position is 35 hours a week guaranteed, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. The parents work from home and are flexible on the start and end times, for the right candidate. Rates are $30-35 an hour gross, plus MetroCard, health care stipend, sick time, and PTO.
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
The ideal nanny would be someone who: - has experience working with this age group. - is energetic, engaging, and enjoys playing with the baby - takes the baby's safety seriously but also gives her space to explore and discover - respects sleep training. - is direct and communicative - is comfortable with two parents (and two cats) who work at home - can help keep the baby's inner fire alive, nurture it, and grow it. - is gregarious, friendly - is proactive and willing to set up playdates and help find ways for the baby to socialize
Schedule
Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm (the family has some flexibility for the right candidate)
About the Children
Ten-month-old girl - she has a natural joy, curiosity, and determination which her parents call the "fire" within her. She is happy, bright, and loves to laugh. She just recently learned how to clap. She's been sleeping through the night since for was 3-months-old. She loves to share food. She is a very sweet baby. She loves the alphabet. She loves music and dancing. She says four words, "mama", "dada", and the name of her favorite cat, "Lulu". She is currently working on pulling up, but she's crawling a lot. She refuses to hold her bottle for her parents, but may hold it for others. She is very independent when it comes to feeding herself, and if she could, she would insist you allow her to change her own diaper. Her parents are working on sitting her on the toilet. The goal is to get her comfortable on the toilet before potty training. Another goal is to open her up to the world more. Her main interactions have been with her grandparents and cousins.
Responsibilities
The nanny will help maintain the baby's current routine. She has a morning bottle, plays, takes a morning nap, and wakes for lunch. The parents currently prepare her meals but are open to having the nanny prepare meals if they enjoy cooking. The baby is presently taking afternoon naps, but the nanny would plan playdates during her waking hours, take her outside for some outdoor adventure, read her books, and keep her engaged through age-appropriate activities.
Additional Information
They're looking for a vaxxed nanny and someone who is CPR certified.
