Overview

This veteran and experienced Smart Family is looking for some part-time help when their two kids, 8 and 3, go back to school in the Fall! Are you looking for a split schedule that will help you get to 20 hours but want to keep the middle of your day, plus two afternoons/week free? Or are you just looking for straightforward afternoon schedule? The two kids are fun and ACTIVE! It's $30 to $35/hour for either 21 hours/week guaranteed, or 13.5 hours/week guaranteed (afternoons only). Family is interviewing candidates now for a post Labor Day start!

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Reliability, reliability, reliability! You'll be a core member of the team with this family and they'll be depending on you to make the day flow. Good communication is key here, as is an interest particularly in the girl. But it's also helpful if you can understand both kids even though they're different ages! Someone very caring and loving to the kiddos. Experience and confidence will come in handy, as they're looking for a person who is confident getting around the city and a person who can jump right in!

Schedule

There are two choices for the schedule: Split Schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM AND M, W, F, from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM (21 hours/week guaranteed) Or Just Afternoons M, W, Fri, 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM (13.5 hours/week guaranteed) Be sure to list in your application which schedule you'd prefer!

About the Children

Boy, 3.5 - Loves swimming, loves arts and crafts, likes baseball, soccer, a little bit shy, want somebody to be with him. Girl, 8 - Doing great, summer camp, loves dance, gymnastics, swimming, very active, very happy.

Responsibilities

This family has an awesome full-time nanny who has been with them for years. Working alongside her, they're looking for some help get their 7-year-old daughter to school in the morning and then help picking her up from school and bringing her to afterschool activities. For the split schedule, you'll arrive and assist with breakfast and the morning routine and then you'll drop her off. Then it's back for the afternoon (for split schedule or afternoons only!) to grab a snack and any weather-related gear before school pick-up. From there, you'll head to afterschool activities or go home for homework and some fun activities.

Additional Information

The Dad in the family is a physician and they've taken Covid seriously! They're all vaccinated and boosted and ask that you be too. Make sure you indicate your preference for the split schedule or afternoons only in your application!
