Are you devoted to early childhood education and looking for an amazing adventure? Are you looking to take your nannying and early childhood education career to the next level? This new SmartFamily is looking for an exceptional full-time nanny with a deep interest in early childhood education to join their team. They are based in NYC during the year and in Bridgehampton, Long Island during the summer months, with frequent travel around the world as well (they have a third home in Montana)! Their 3-year-old girl speaks almost three languages, loves to play and learn, and is a dream to be around. They are looking for a nanny who can focus entirely on her and her development (they have a full-time housekeeper and a chef!). It's $40 to $45/hour with flexibility depending on experience and if it's a good fit. The position is ideally Monday through Friday, with some weekends and late nights but they're also open to hiring two people to cover the full schedule. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

A solid background in early childhood education is a must here! This is a great position if you have a degree in early childhood education, have been a lead preschool teacher, or have some sort of demonstrated experience in early childhood educational approaches (like Montessori, etc.) and have knowledge of early childhood education milestones. You are kind, honest, and loving! She's a toddler to patience and creativity is a must. The family embraces their caregivers and household team and are looking for a person who can fold right in. Are you passionate about artful teaching and wonder-filled learning combined with play? They're looking for you! Fluency in the English language and/or Hebrew is a plus as is a passion for classical music and jazz, and the outdoors. They'd also love somebody who can teach their daughter basic skills that match her current developmental stage. Those include physical milestones including gross and fine motor skills, cognitive, language and social/emotional milestones. A background in early childhood education is a must here!

Schedule

Monday - Friday: It's 6:00/7:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. (helping her get ready for school) and then 12 P.M. - 8 P.M. (picking her up from school through bedtime). Availability for occasional weekends, later evenings, and days off from school. If you would only be available for a M, T, W schedule, or weekends, apply and let us know! About the Children

Girl, 3: girl 3 years old - speaks almost three languages; she’s very verbal. She loves painting and drawing. She has a play dog she loves. She loves plastic art forms. She loves reading! She loves to spell! You'll need to encourage her to run enough and play, as she enjoys sedentary activities. She does love the playground. She loves to go outdoors. She loves it when people read out loud. She's a context reader as well! Learns best that way.

Responsibilities

The position is either live-in or live-out but starts in the morning when the girl wakes up. You'll help her have breakfast and get ready for school. A driver will then take you both to Horace Mann School in the Bronx. While she's in school, you're free to do whatever you'd like until pick up. The driver will take you back to the family's home (across from Central Park!) and you'll spend afternoons heading to afterschool activities or having fun doing your own activities together. Then it's dinner, bath, and bedtime!

Additional Information

You'll need to hold a valid passport. The family pays full benefits and has a healthcare plan. Ability to spend the summers in Bridgehampton and travel frequently is required. You must be fully vaccinated and boosted.
