Are you a nanny in your community who can't help but to be at the center of it all? You give solicited (or unsolicited) advice to literally anyone and everyone around you, and everyone comes to you for your expertise? You coach nannies at the playground, you coach families about how to be better employers and how to set up the job in a way that will yield a more effective result. You listen to nannies who are going through a tough time and support in every way you can. Your dream in life is to have an opportunity to be able to work with nannies and build community and build a support system for nannies and actually be PAID to do it? Behind the scenes here at Smart Sitting, we have been working tirelessly to be able to have the opportunity to create this position for you, and we are excited to say the moment has finally arrived. Schedule

Join our Company HQ Zoom meeting on Mondays, 1 PM - 1:30 PM EST. Otherwise, this position has lots of flexibility!

Responsibilities

The core mission of the Community Coordinator is to support nannies and babysitters and to align caregivers with our core values framework of being professional, accountable, genuine, supportive, and adaptable in all interactions. Caregivers often come to Smart Sitting after working in toxic work environments or without a professional scaffold of support that a company like Smart Sitting is able to provide. As an agency, our goal is to create happy, healthy work environments through education, expectation setting, and support. As the Community Coordinator, your goal is to communicate our mission and vision to our nannies and help us all stay aligned and connected. The Community Coordinator will be expected to: - Lead and monitor the Community Slack from beta testing through implementation. - Program and lead monthly Zoom workshops and online support groups for nannies. - Lead in-person meet-ups & marketing events in New York City on at least a quarterly basis. - Speak with nannies needing support or guidance about current positions. - Create materials and social media resources around trending nannying topics. - Lead the Smart Sitting Diversity & Inclusion Council initiative. - Organically drive referrals through engagement and reinforcement of our referral bonuses. - Manage the NYC Babysitters Group and be seen as the authority on caregiving topics. - Improve caregiver resumes and profiles and recommend candidates for specific jobs. - Manage stock and distribution of Smart Sitting swag (shirts, leave behinds, flyers) - Other responsibilities that you recognize within the role that can be supportive to the nanny community.

Additional Information

Your job will be to lead this initiative and build out the role. You will have support from our Smart Sitting admin team, and Ashley, Smart Sitting's Recruitment Coordinator, will take point on several of the role elements.
