Are you looking for a great short-term position that’s starting soon? Do you love working with older kids? Do you love straightforward After School jobs? This returning South Orange Smart Family is looking for a fun, organized and grounded After School nanny to tackle the daily After School schedule. You'll need to have a driver's license (they'll provide the car) so you can do school pick up and bring the kids to various after-school activities. It will start around May 15th and run until mid-June, when school gets out! The family has a great house, a huge yard with a pool and two dogs! This family is happy to guarantee 20 hours a week. $30 to $35/hour gross ($600 to $700/week)

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

This family has had AuPairs and Nannies and they've always had great experiences. Candidates who are mature, responsible, yet fun do well with them. Being organized and able to really keep the kids structured each day is helpful, for example, a person who can stay on top of their homework, unload their backpacks, etc. and facilitate all necessary communication with the parents. A bit of flexibility in the evenings is really important as the parents' commute home from the city on the train.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 2:30-6:30. Flex to do an hour in the morning, or a little more time at night, would be great, if possible! This family is happy to guarantee 20 hours a week. This job runs from May 15th to June 23!

About the Children

Boy, 8 going on 9: He's into Minecraft, robots, soccer, lacrosse, guitar, obsessed with video games! He's very extroverted! Girl, 12: This tween is quieter, more observant, and low maintenance. She's super creative and likes drawing-gets along great with equally creative people!

Responsibilities

The nanny will arrive at your house in South Orange, grab the family car and go pick up the kids at two different schools. From there, it's home for a snack and homework, or off to a variety of after school activities, or both! Then they do dinner and you guys take over from there. Kids' laundry and tidying up their rooms, unloading their lunchboxes, etc is also a part of the job. This job runs from May 15th to June 23!

This sitter must be fully vaccinated against COVID, have a Driver’s License (no car necessary) and a clean driving record.
