Would you love to get out of the city this summer? Would you love a workplace that’s beautiful, full of fresh air and sunshine, and spend your days playing with two sweet kiddos? Are you extremely flexible, and interested in a unique work arrangement this summer? This is the opportunity for you! This returning Smart Sitting family is looking for a fun, energetic sitter to come spend time with their two kids in the Hamptons this summer. The schedule is three blocks of time, so there’s time in between that you won’t be working-perfect for someone who likes time off to yourself in the summer to do as you please! When you’re there, you’ll be helping get the kids to camp in the morning, and then you’ll have them after camp until bedtime. They'll prioritize candidates who can do all of the sessions, but if you can only do one or two, apply anyway and let us know in your application which one you can do. It's $25 to $30/hour plus transportation to and from the Hampton.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Swimming and driving is a must for this one! The ideal nanny for this position is energetic, active, and playful. You'll be excited to go in the pool with them and share fun summer activities with some awesome kids in the Hamptons this summer.

Schedule

This job is short term, and for a set of designated periods in the summer. ​​First session: June 25-July 6 (roughly) Second Session: July 26-August 18 Third Session: August 27-9/2 Monday through Friday Mornings before camp and then afternoons around 3 PM to 7:00 PM/8:00 PM You'll have between 9 AM and 3 PM off most days. They'll need you occasionally on Saturday nights or maybe a Sunday afternoon, so you'll want to communicate about the weekends. Some weekends you could go home to NYC and some weekends you can stay there. They'd ideally like a one person but if you can only do one of the sessions, apply and indicate that in your application.

About the Children

Girl, 6: She loves being in the water, and is super into arts and crafts! Loves going to camp! Boy, 9: He’s into sports, specifically tennis, and basketball. He’ll be fine in the pool. Loves to read!

Responsibilities

In the morning, you'll get the kids up and in their morning routine to get ready for camp! From about 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, you'll be free for the most part to do as you like. They may ask you to run some errands or do meal prep here and there during this time but otherwise, you can do whatever! Mom and Dad will be working from home, but there is more than enough space in the house to chill out and work on whatever you want or hang out by the pool. After the kids are done with camp, you're on! It's time to hang out, do dinner, bath time and the evening routine until bedtime.

Additional Information

You'll need to be vaccinated against Covid and be able to drive and swim. This is a live-in position.
