Overview

This great new Jersey City family is looking for some hands on help with their two boys, ages 2 and 5 months. If you love kids under 4 and have been waiting for that perfect Jersey job to come your way, look no further! This family is looking for somebody who is comfortable being with two kids, but that will have enough infant experience to be primarily with their baby most hours. The days are substantial, but you will only do three or four of them per week, so this is a great schedule that guarantees all of your weekends will be long! If you're an energetic, fun, multi-tasking nanny who can take on some meal prep and organizational activities, like finding classes for you and the baby, apply today! It's $30 to $35/hour for somewhere between 30 and 40 hours/week depending on what schedule works for you! They also have free parking in their building and will include the standard benefits of PTO and Sick Time as well. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Are you a super fun and silly person that loves to hang with toddlers and get on their level? But...do you also have baby experience?! D you love babies (who doesn't?!) and have experience in things like baby led weaning, etc. This job is for you! Mom's additional priorities with this search are finding somebody who is very comfortable being with both boys and somebody who can do (maybe even loves?) meal prep! She really needs help with cooking and meal prep, so having that experience will go a long way. They're also looking for somebody active! It's a long day and the ability to keep the energy up throughout the end of the day is important to them (the good news is, you'll have three or four days to recharge!). Other than that, they're looking for somebody fun AND structured. Mom is low-key and is looking for somebody who can go with the flow.

Schedule

7:15 AM to 5:30 PM, three or four days/week Most likely the schedule would be Mon-Wed, or Mon-Thurs, but let us know what days work best for you! They are happy to guarantee anywhere from 30 to 40 hours/week depending on the schedule

About the Children

5-months-old, Boy: Easy baby, takes great naps. Will start solids in a month. He’s on a formula for now! 2.5-years-old, Boy: will be in school 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday through Friday. He's in Montessori! He's a picky eater. Super animated dude with a great personality. Late talker, his speech is delayed so he goes to speech therapy twice/week (Mom may ask if you can help take him and work with him on exercises!).

Responsibilities

You'll arrive in the morning and Mom will head off to work in the city. You'll help get the 2-year-old breakfast, dressed and ready for school, and then the three of you (baby included!) will drop him off. Then it's baby time! Maybe you head to the park, a music class, or the library before picking the 2-year-old back up at 11:30 AM. Then you'll head home for lunch and a big long nap for both kids. During nap, you'll help with meal prep and some cooking and other household chores. In the afternoon, you'll do some final fun activities before Mom or Dad take over at 5:30 PM. It's a structured but fun day.

Additional Information

They're looking for proof of TDAP vaccine, Flu shot, and Covid vaccinations/boosters, or the willingness to get TDAP and flu. For this one, you should already have Covid vaccines.
