Overview

This lovely Brooklyn Smart Family is looking to find a new After School nanny! They're looking for a creative, calm, and patient nanny who would like to spend the afternoons engaging in imaginative play and fun physical activities. Starting the first week of September when school starts, this family is looking for a nanny who wants to commit to a family long-term, for at least several years, and grow with their family. $30 to $35/hour gross ($600 to $875/week gross for 20-25 hours/week) PTO, Sick Time, possible MetroCard.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

This family is looking for an After School pro, who has lots of experience doing school pickup and the general After School routine. Open and clear communicators would do well here! Kids are full of energy so somebody active would be awesome. That said, in the past, the kids have responded well to calm and patient personalities. They are definitely looking for candidates who can commit to a year or more, not just the school year! They’d like to find a great fit for their family for many years to come.

Schedule

It's Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 6:30 PM for 20 hours/guaranteed. A sitter who is flexible for a few more hours for date night would be helpful!

About the Children

Boy, 7 years old: Physically adept little dude! He loves baseball and soccer. This guy also loves to draw and read. He likes to look out for his little sister and feels very attached to her. Girl, 4.5 years old: She loves her play kitchen! Loves dolls and make-believe and when nannies play imaginatively with her.

Responsibilities

This is a pretty standard After School routine. You will start the day grabbing both kids at school, only a few blocks away! Then you’ll go to After School activities if there are any that day. Once home, you will also help prep dinner and help the kiddos with their homework, if there is any.
