Can you play an incredibly supportive role in a family? Are you dependable, sensitive, and looking to make a strong connection with the children in your care? This single Mom is looking for a nanny to care for her two girls for 30+ hours per week. Do you speak French? While French is not required for this position, the family speaks it at home, and it would be helpful to find someone with basic French skills (or even an interest to learn more on Duo Lingo)!

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

This Mom is looking for someone active and energetic to spend time with her girls. You’re super clean and tidy (as the family is super clean and tidy), and don’t mind helping with some household tasks. She would love it if the sitter speaks French! While French is not required for this position, the family speaks it at home, and it would be helpful to find someone with basic French skills (or even an interest to learn more on Duo Lingo)! The ideal sitter for this role also has the flexibility to increase hours, as there are times that Mom will need extra support. Please note that the girls lost their Dad three months ago. They’re adjusting well, but it may come up so someone who is sensitive around that and can talk about it with them is definitely needed.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 9:00/9:30 PM 30+ hours a week This family is definitely looking for a sitter who can be flexible with these hours, and possibly stay slightly longer on occasion, if needed.

About the Children

Girl 3: Starts Pre-K in September! She loves building with Magna Tiles, loves to climb, and loves to copy her big sister. Girl 5: Starting 1 grade! This little artist loves to draw. She loves pretend play, using her imagination and magic! They both love to bike, swim, play in their backyard, jumping on their jumperoo, love bath time and swim class, and playing kitchen.

Responsibilities

This is a role in which you’re supporting the family and helping Mom pick up any slack that’s needed. You’ll definitely be starting with After School care for the little one! The older girl has an After School program, and Mom would occasionally take her there/pick her up, and sometimes it would be the nanny’s responsibility as well. For transport, Mom is buying an e-bike that can transfer both of the girls, as they’re a big biking family. The nanny is encouraged to use it, but also doesn’t have to if you’re not comfortable! There are also some household responsibilities that go along with this role, such as child laundry, tidying after the girls, dinner prep, etc. You’d also be helping with baths and bedtime.

Additional Information

This family is looking for a sitter who is Covid vaxxed and boosted, and willing to get an annual flu shot.
