They're looking for a mature, responsible nanny to help the girls stay on top of their homework and get through the after-school routine. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Would you love to work with two girls? Are you super adept at keeping kiddos on track? Do you love to stay busy while you're working? This family would love to meet a nanny who is adept at handling multiples. The girls do need some direction. Somebody who is excited to work with both girls. This family is open to all nannies in any stage of their career, as long as they can anticipate the needs of the family. Both girls are dyslexic so just helping to make sure they understand their homework, is important. Otherwise they're pretty self sufficient. What else? You're efficient, adaptable and flexible and looking to be in partnership with Mom and Dad! Also, a sense of humor above all else!

Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00pm-7:00pm Occasional Friday hours, if you're open and available! Help during days off from school would also be helpful if you're available, with advanced notice. Roughly 15 hours/week

About the Children

Girl, 9 : She's quite chatty. She sort of likes a routine and works hard at school. Persnickity. She’s a picky eater. She eats steak, spinach, pizza. Mom wouldn't mind if that was expanded but she also does not think it's your job to do that! It will be more of a transition for her that Mom is back at work. Very chatty and very bright, likes to play board games and likes to be on her computer coding and things like that. She’s used to Mom holding her hand when they cross the street, but she’s getting a little more independent. She had some gross motor skills delay as a toddler, which you may see come out in various actions. Girl, 13: Classic preteen! She'll be in her room a lot. Talks on the phone. She’s likes having people in the house though, so will be very warm with you. She’s very much into clothes and make-up. She’s a thoughtful kid and loves to observe the dynamics of the situation. She’s a little quieter at first and a deep thinker but will warm up. Self sufficient - she's very good about doing her homework! These girls do not react well to authoritarian personalities, so you'll do best developing relationships with them and helping guide them!

Responsibilities

You'll pick up their youngest at her school nearby. On Wednesdays, she stays late at school, but you'll still head to the home a little early to throw in some laundry, tidy up and help out with house hold tasks. The younger girl also has speech once a week (done virtually), but she's great at going, she just needs some help remembering to do it! She needs help to read her homework instructions, particularly around math, and make sure she prioritizes it properly. The older girl is pretty independent! Both girls are vigilant about making sure they do not go to bed before their homework is complete, which makes life much easier! Some light meal prep would also be appreciated! You would mostly just need to prepare snacks, and light meals such as grilled cheese, and eggs.
