Do you absolutely love traveling and exploring the world? Would you love to call North Shore Lake Tahoe your home-base? Are you open to relocating? We are looking for a flexible live-in nanny or a live-out travel-loving nanny in the North Shore Lake Tahoe area. The position starts in June but can start as soon as they find their next nanny. To train, they will fly you out to Hawaii to learn the ropes with their current nanny. Driving and swimming are required for this position. See more below! It's $30 to $40/hour for 40 hours/week and includes six week of travel per year approximately. This year, they will be spending two to three months in Australia! The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You are excited about adventure, excited about travel, and see this as an exciting opportunity! You have the ability to work independently, demonstrated through their work experience. You are ACTIVE, live a healthy lifestyle, and are comfortable with everything from skiing to swimming and long travel days. You love games, sports, and taking advantage of all that Tahoe offers. You would love to run around and have a great time with the children in your care, while also being the adult in the room. You are bringing something extra special - this can be solid multi year experience with a high net worth family, cooking experience, or ability to tutor. You re fun, outgoing, but also professional. You are in a place in life where you can comfortably travel for one week to three months at time. The family will be living in Australia for two to three months this year, for example, and taking their nanny. You must have an adventurous spirit! You have a "how can I help" mentality, and are willing to lend a hand wherever needed. You ideally have a college degree but being an intellectually curious person works just as well!

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM with specific hours TBD. The family requires a minimum to 30 hours/week but can go up to 40+ hours/week for a candidate.

About the Children

Boy, 7 years old: He’s a typical boy, he loves to play and run around, and he's not as focused on studies as his sister. He's a really empathetic and lovely kid. Girl, 9 years old: She just turned 9! She’s a really smart, brainy girl, and is very academic. This gal has great friends and is well rounded.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an outdoorsy, active, and fun travel nanny who loves building strong connections with elementary-aged children. While the family has always had a house in Tahoe, they're currently moving from Hawaii to take up residence in Tahoe full-time. You will be an empathetic and sensitive support system to kids' emotions and lend a helping hand as they transition back into their old school (they both did pre-K in Tahoe!). You'll be the responsible adult caring for this family's two sweet kids, managing the after-school routine, tutoring, providing homework help. Household responsibilities include meal prep, laundry, tidying, organizing, ensuring everything is clean and put away (they have a housekeeper for deep cleaning). Will be traveling with the family during school holiday periods (they’re flexible on big holidays like Christmas). Please note that driving the children is required for this role! You’ll need to take them to odd errands (such as doctors’ visits) in the parents’ car. Swimming is also required! Previous tutoring experience is a plus!

Additional Information

This is a high net worth family that is incredibly generous, respectful, and rewards their nannies for working hard, but working hard is important. As mentioned above, traveling with the family, driving, and swimming with the children is needed for this role. This job is located in Tahoe and the family is looking for local candidates or candidates willing to relocate and live-in or live-out. Around six weeks of travel per year is expected (they stay at great hotels, which previous nannies have enjoyed very much!)
