This returning SmartFamily in Brooklyn is looking for a caregiver for their girls on a super light part-time basis! If you’re looking for a consistent position with light hours, apply today! It's $30 to $35/hour, with a car to their home for the early morning shift. They're open to one nanny or two, and are happy to guarantee 4-8+ hours per week, depending on the schedule selected.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Somebody fun and easygoing! A strong personality match is a big priority for this family. They are looking for someone who can relate to the girls’ interests and make them feel comfortable. They respond really well to artists and people with creative personalities! It is also imperative that you are super punctual and great with time management since you will be responsible for getting the girls to school on time. The Mom is open to hiring two caregivers if needed, so if you are interested in either shift apply and let us know which is best for you. Please note that this family has several pets, so please be aware that sitters with allergies are likely not the best fit.

Schedule

Mondays 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Wednesdays 6 A.M to 10 A.M The family is also open to adding hours on Tuesday afternoons or additional weekend hours for the right candidate. They're happy to guarantee 4-8+ hours per week, depending on the schedule selected.

About the Children

Girl, 4: She's a little fashionista! She is very picky about what she wears but she’s a total sweetheart. Girl, 6: A mini sporty spice! She’s super into athletics right now. She likes tennis, rock climbing, dancing, gymnastics, you name it! Both girls are super into Taylor Swift and love to sing and dance. They’re a bit shy at first but will completely warm up to you in no time. They’re super cuddly and playful kids. They’re well behaved and emotionally intelligent girls who can’t wait to love their new babysitter!

Responsibilities

On Mondays you’ll pick the girls up and transport one or both of them to their gymnastics class. Once you get them home you’ll help out with homework and snack time, play games, plan activities, etc. This Mom would also appreciate some help with getting the girls fed dinner on occasion. On Wednesday’s you’ll arrive early at 6 A.M. on the dot to help get the girls dressed and ready before school. Being super punctual is extremely important for this role! It's a super straightforward morning routine: prepping breakfast, brushing teeth, getting the girls dressed, checking their backpacks/lunch boxes, etc. before taking them to school! After school, you'll come back to the house to help tidy up until it's time to go: wash breakfast dishes, make the girls beds, etc.

Additional Information

Mom and Dad share custody 50/50 custody so in the summers the girls will get two weeks with Mom for vacation and then two weeks with Dad but other than that they’ll generally be in camp and will require a similar schedule to what they do during the school year!
