Are you looking to stay with an amazing family for years to come? This new SmartFamily is seeking a self-starter to join them as a travel-loving Family Assistant. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, dedicated and creative and is happy to support a hardworking Mom and her sweet girls. They are open to hiring someone to work full-time as a Family Assistant OR part-time with childcare duties only (with the rate adjusted accordingly to align with the reduced working hours). It’s $84K - $108K/year gross plus PTO, Sick Time, a MetroCard, and a possible Healthcare stipend. For the full-time role, the family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week; for the part-time position, 25 hours are guaranteed per week (with the rate adjusted accordingly to align with the reduced working hours).

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Are you an experienced, warm, and loving caregiver? Do you love to travel internationally several times a year? Do you have interesting hobbies that you love to share with the children in your care? The ideal candidate for this role is an active go-getter, and has the energy to keep up with two kiddos and their busy schedules. You're intellectually curious, and love stimulating the minds of the kiddos you care for. They respond really well to artists and people with creative personalities! It is also imperative that you are super punctual, reliable, and have great organizational skills, especially if applying for the full time hours. Spanish speaking is a huge plus but not a requirement. Travel and overnight care are required for this role.

Schedule

12 - 8 P.M., Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week guaranteed plus overnights and travel. OR 3 - 8 P.M. Monday through Friday, only nannying responsibilities, 25 hours per week guaranteed plus overnights and travel.

About the Children

The family has 3 kids, but this role is for the 2 younger kids only. Two girls, 9 and 7: They're both great kiddos who do gymnastics (they're on US gynmastics team and are state champions!). They also love the performing arts, and are both very active and curious. They are fluent in Spanish and are very independent for their ages!

Responsibilities

If only interested in the part time hours you’ll handle school pickup, and take them to their extracurricular activities. If you’re applying for the full time Family Assistant role, housekeeping responsibilities are also added while the girls are in school, which includes deep cleaning of the 3 bedroom home. However, previous housekeeping experience is not required; they're really looking for an energetic, organized individual willing to help keep the household running! Help with grocery runs will likely be needed as well. For either schedule, overnights and travel will be required. International travel (usually to Singapore or Europe) is required with Dad and the kids for 2-4 weeks per trip, about 4-6 times per year. So a nanny with a longing to see the world is perfect for this role! Mom travels for work every other month for 5-6 days, so the nanny will need to stay overnight. However, Mom has an 18 year old daughter so it’s not needed all the time and will always be communicated in advance.
