This loving returning SmartFamily is looking for a dedicated, warm caregiver to ease their load, and partner with them to care for their adorable 1 year old boy and their newborn! Starting in late April, this family is looking for a part-time weekend sitter to work with them at their home in Astoria. Does this sound like your dream job? Apply today! The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The ideal sitter for this role is very experienced with babies and toddlers, and all the developmental transitions that come along with it! You are kind, loving, and have a very warm demeanor. Once their new baby is born, this will be a very busy time for this family, so someone who is passionate about supporting parents and lending a hand wherever needed is essential.

Schedule

Saturday and Sunday 11 A.M to 5/6 P.M There is also a possibility of adding one or two days during the week for the right sitter!

About the Children

Boy, 1: This sweet, curious little guy just turned one. His weekday SmartSitter just adores him! Newborn: Coming April 15!

Responsibilities

Starting out for the first few months, you'll just be with the older boy, but eventually this family would love for you to care for both of their kiddos. With the 1 year old, you'll be doing all the typical activities: reading books, taking him for walks, engaging him with music, coordinating meals and naps, etc. Once the newborn is a bit older, you'll be with them both, so you'll need to have previous experience with infants! Please note, this family may be moving at some point soon, however they're planning to stay in the Astoria or LIC areas.

Additional Information

Because they'll have a newborn, it's essential for this sitter to be updated on all Covid, flu, and TDAP vaccinations/boosters.
