The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Are you a dependable Family Assistant with years of experience? They'd love to meet you! You've got a "how can I help" mentality and you're ready to make life easier for a busy family. This is a truly great family, and a good personality fit will play a big role for them as well. It's also a big perk if you're not located too far away, as they'd love to have a nanny who lives close by!

Schedule

This family is open minded on the schedule for the right candidate! They'd love to find someone for 40-50+ hours per week, but they're flexible with the start time. A possible schedule could be: 11:00 AM/12:00 PM to 8:00/8:30 PM

About the Children

Girl, 7: She’s very expressive and is a great communicator. She’s into singing, dancing, and loves Taylor Swift. She’s got a full after school schedule every day so somebody organized would be great in this role. She’s a really bright girl, she plays the violin and loves ceramics as well! Boy, 4: He's become a very typical 4 year old boy, as Dad says, and he's exploring the world around him. Very curious. He's a lovely kid and super considerate. He's still working on the last stages of potty training. Also involved in a lot of afterschool activities, 3 days a week. He’s a sweetheart, and super easy. He’s really into trains and trucks!

Responsibilities

Since both kids are in school, you'll start the day taking care of household tasks for the whole family! Around 11:00 or 12:00 PM (or earlier, if you're interested in that), you'll come in, and tidy the house after the morning rush. The family would really love to find someone willing to do all housekeeping tasks and deep cleaning for the whole family. If full housekeeping tasks don't work for you, traditional Family Assistant tasks can work for the right candidate. This will include all tidying for the house and keeping the space clean, making the kids' beds and doing the kids' laundry, and meal prep. If you're interested in doing some personal assistant tasks, like running to the pharmacy for the parents, that is definitely welcome! In the afternoon, you'll be doing school pickup and the after school activity shuffle. The family does have a babysitter who they love, and will be helping out in the afternoons from time to time, so you'll sometimes be working as a team. You'll then help with homework and get dinner ready. They'd really love to find someone who is happy to cook homemade healthy meals, and get the kiddos to eat their veggies! After dinner, you'll wind the kiddos down for the day and facilitate their bedtime routine. Please note, the kids are going to be in day camp for July (at least) but the parents don't anticipate that'll be changing the schedule much. If you're willing to travel with them, that's awesome! It's not required however. They're going to try to go to the East Coast in August, they'd love to have the nanny come then, or on an occasional other vacation for 2 weeks. It's a big bonus if you can drive (but not required)! If you can swim that's great too, but it's not necessarily needed.
