Do you absolutely adore young kids? Are you looking for a weekend position but would love some international travel (including one trip to Asia!)? This lovely new Smart Sitting family has just moved back to New York City after spending 12 years in Singapore! The kids, 3 and 6, were born there so they're still adjusting to their new life and new digs. They have a full-time, live-in nanny who has been with them since the kids were born and moved from Singapore to stay with them. They're currently looking for a weekend nanny that will live-out in NYC and then live-in during the summers in the Hamptons. They take a few international trips per year, including one to Asia and would love you to join! It's $33 to $38/hour plus PTO and Sick Time. They're looking for super active, fun, engaging and creative nannies that would love a long-term weekend position. You'll need to swim for this one. Driving is a "nice to have" but not required. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You are fun, active, and energetic! You can keep up with the kids while they run around the playground, or go scooting in the park. You're super outgoing and engaging and have been known to come up with some awesome imaginative play. You've worked with toddlers in the past! Because the little guy is 3, understanding toddler emotions and actively being interested in this age group is a huge priority. The family is also looking for somebody who can travel internationally on occasion. They have a pool, so swimming is required. Driving is a nice to have but not required! At this time, the family is not considering candidates that have another full-time or heavy part-time nanny position during the week (light part-time jobs, like a few times a week are okay, provided you can travel with them no problem).

Schedule

Saturday: 9 AM to 9 or 10 PM (sometimes later) Sunday: 9 AM to 7 PM or 8 PM Friday nights, 5 PM to 10 PM The family is happy to guarantee at least 27 hours/weekend but if you need more hours, please feel free to reach out or include that in your application! They are open.

About the Children

Girl, 6 - stereotypical 6 year old girl! She’s super into art, loves singing and dancing, and can do any art project. She's all about the monkey bars, and they enjoy taking her to the playground. Very sweet, big heart and big personality. She’s made so many friends in NYC already! This is a big move for her but she's already thriving Boy, 3 - He's either the cutest and sweetest little thing in the entire world or an angry toddler! They're looking for somebody who can get down on his level and help him manage and regulate his feelings. At the moment, he's fearless and he runs all around. He loves cars, he loves books, imaginative play. He loves scooting!

Responsibilities

Each weekend will be a little bit different! But mostly, it's about keeping the kids engaged, taking them to activities and coming up with fun stuff to do during the day. The kids love the playground! Especially the 6 year old, but you'll need to keep a close watch on her. This is not a position for sitting! Active nannies that like to run around with the kids will thrive. There will be scooting, swimming, and all kinds of adventures! Additionally, there will be the standard light household tasks, keeping things tidy and organized and meal prep.

Additional Information

Swimming is required. Driving is a bonus, but not required. You must be willing to be paid fully, 100% on the books, no exceptions. Summers are live-in in the Hamptons and the rest is live-out in NYC. The family is prioritizing candidates that do not have another full-time professional commitment. Part-time is okay, provided that you can travel as needed with them.
