Overview

This new SmartFamily in the West Village is looking for a full-time, or two part-time nannies to care for two young kids. They’re really looking for someone who is educationally minded and can be super creative and find things that will enrich their little minds! You might have a background in teaching, have an Early Childhood Development degree, or might even just be extremely invested and imaginative with the activities you come up with. They have a girl who is nearly 3, and a 1-year-old boy, so they’re looking for someone with great toddler experience and all that entails. While they don't travel extremely regularly, the family is also looking for someone who can travel domestically and internationally if needed, and the ability to drive is nice to have. They’d love to find someone ASAP but are prioritizing the right fit, so let us know how soon you can start! Apply to their role today before it's gone. It's $30 to $35/hour gross. You can apply for the full schedule (60 hours per week guaranteed, with overtime included after 40 hours/week), or you can apply for Monday-Wednesday (approximately 36 hours/week guaranteed) or Thursday-Friday (approximately 24 hours per week guaranteed).

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You're educationally minded, joyful, and warm. The ideal nanny for this role is very professional, an excellent communicator, and comes with great experience with their age groups. They're also looking for someone with a great work ethic and a "how can I help" mentality. You also love coming up with activities to creatively stimulate little ones' development! Those with an Early Childhood Development or educational background are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is high-energy, active, and can keep up with two toddlers.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 7:00/8:00 AM to 6:00/7:00 PM. If you'd like to apply for the full schedule, please do so! However, they're also open to splitting the schedule between two individuals, with one working M-W (approximately 36 hours/week) and one working TH-F (approximately 24 hours/week). About the Children

Girl, just under 3: Curious, active, and has active programming, some that includes separation! Boy, 1: Hitting all the milestones! Both are doing great developmentally!

Responsibilities

You'll spend the day with their little ones! Their oldest is in school, so there will be some chunks of the day in which you're spending great one-on-one time with her little brother. You'll start the day with the morning routine, and facilitate school pick up and drop off. Throughout the day otherwise, you'll provide meals and snacks, and come up with fun, educationally enriching activities for the kiddos! Regular household tasks such as tidying the kids' spaces, doing their laundry, organizing their toys, etc. are also included in the role responsibilities. The ability to drive is nice to have for this position. While they don't regularly go away for big chunks of time (like summer in the Hamptons), the ideal nanny for this role must be willing and able to travel domestically or internationally for a few weeks at a time if needed (with notice, of course).
