PART-TIME: Experienced sitter for 9-Year-Old Boy in Prospect Heights!

Overview

This returning, and busy, Smart Family in Brooklyn are looking for some helping hands after-school! While they have two boys, this position focuses almost exclusively on their 9 year old. The nanny will assist him with homework, drive him to activities, handle meal planning, and perform basic household tasks like making the boy's bed, laundry and tidying up. The family is looking for an experienced candidate who can connect with him, help him stay organized, and manage after-school routines independently. He's pretty chill and independent, so this position is less about engagement and more about keeping the afternoon and his life running smoothly! This is a great position for aspiring Personal Assistants and Family Assistants. It's $30 to $35 per hour. If you both drive and can meal plan and prep (including buying the groceries you need), you can ask for $34 or $35/hour. Candidates with less experience will fall into the lower ranges. They are looking to get started immediately, so apply today!

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The family is looking for someone who is organized, has strong time management skills, and can manage after-school routines without needing a ton of guidance. Driving is a huge plus and the parents will prioritize candidates that can drive the family's car for pick-ups and activities. You should be comfortable with basic meal preparation and cooking and be able to prepare simple meals without detailed instructions. Preference for college-educated candidate who can help with homework, though this is more like structuring and guidance. If you're a mature, even-keeled nanny who can jump right into the role without much oversight, this will be a great role for you! They want a nanny who can handle meal prep, order groceries, and manage the day-to-day schedule without needing approval for every decision. The family values independence and reliability, as their day-to-day is fast-paced and they prefer not to micromanage. This is a great role for aspiring PAs and Family Assistants!

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 7 PM. Occasional later evenings are appreciated and you'll always have prior notice.
