Overview

Calling all tween and teen experienced nannies that stay calm under pressure, enjoy creating and following structure and routine, and that would love be part of a team! This very busy, fast paced, and fully staffed home is seeking a part-time nanny to work in tandem, as a partner, with their full-time nanny. They have two girls, 12 and 10, and are looking for an all star that can be a firm and fun leader for two tweens that struggle with boundaries. If you're an experienced caregiver, who can model good conduct and good citizenship, they're looking for you! This is a great opportunity to join a fun and supportive but very hardworking household team. This position is ideal for those caregivers that are driven by working with children that need some extra support, structure, and modeling. Degree in social work? Or psychology? Experience in behavior management? They'd love to meet you! It's $35/hour for 12 to 30 hours/week guaranteed. Candidates with specialized advanced degrees or specialized experience in behavior management can ask for more (be sure to list that in your application).

You love challenges and are driven by hard work. You're the sort of person that thrives in chaotic environments because you enjoy the pace, and you have the skills to help truly make a difference when things get tough. If you've ever wanted to high five a team member at the end of the day, or have a caregiving co-worker, this is definitely the job for you. In this household, you'll have a team that is there to pick you up when you need it and also hold you accountable (and you'll do the same for them!). Beyond that, you're truly motivated by and dedicated to the girls. This position is all about doing what is best by them. You'll work with their full-time nanny, who has already put in a lot of awesome structure and routine, and follow what she's put in place. Finally, you should amazing at managing and intuitively understanding different personalities, be able to stay calm under pressure, and bring a sense of silliness and fun to your work with these girls everyday. Having a huge sense of humor will help you here!

Schedule

This family has a core need of at least 12 hours/week. For candidates that need more hours, they can up to 30 hours/week. The schedule rotates slightly every other week, going back and forth between A and B Schedule A: Monday/Tuesday/ Friday: 3 PM to 7 PM or 8 PM Saturdays: 5 hours during the day Schedule B: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday: 3 PM to 7 PM or 8 PM Saturday: 5 hours during the day For candidates seeking 30 hours/week, hours can be added during the week

About the Children

Responsibilities

The core of this position is working directly with the girls, especially the 12-year-old. You'll accompany them to after-school and Saturday activities, make sure they're doing homework and school assignments, and help them with the evening routine at the end of the day. There is always a lot going on

Additional Information

You need to be fully vaccinated for this role, have at least 5 years of solid in-home experience, and experience with this age group. Driving and swimming are helpful. Ability to travel, and a valid passport, are helpful longer term.
