Overview

This new SmartFamily in Midtown East is looking for a full-time nanny for a sweet newborn (she's about 4 weeks right now!) starting in early January. The ideal candidate is very experienced with infants, organized, and engaging. You really cherish working with babies, and find joy in watching a little one progress from one stage to another. They'd love to find someone with a bit of flexibility in the schedule as well to add on some hours here and there. Mom travels for work and would love to have the nanny come along as well, however, that isn't necessarily required for the perfect fit. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You have experience working long-term with an infant this age. The ideal candidate for this role is not only a baby whisperer, but is a very warm and loving caregiver as well. You genuinely love spending your day with an infant, and will talk to her, read books together, and keep her engaged throughout the day! A bit of flexibility with the schedule, to occasionally work a weekend day, or even an overnight would be a nice to have, however, is not required. Mom travels for work and would love it if you could travel with them! But this might not be 100% required for the right fit.

Schedule

Tuesday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM They'd love to find a nanny who is flexible to work additional hours on occasion, but this is not a dealbreaker.

About the Children

Girl, 4 weeks: She's a baby! You get to be there to discover her little personality as she grows.

Responsibilities

All the baby things! You'll be handling all feedings, playtime, tummy time, diapers, and nap time duties while you're there. Regular infant household tasks, such as sanitizing bottles, emptying the diaper pail, baby laundry, and keeping her things tidy are required. As she grows, you'll be an expert in helping her get to the next phase of her development and can help plan activities throughout the day to stimulate her growth mentally and physically. As with any SmartFamily, they're looking for someone who is very engaging with the baby and stays off your phone at all times, unless communicating with the parent. Mom already has a cleaning service, nanny will just be doing childcare, no cooking.

Additional Information

This position requires a nanny who is Covid vaccinated and boosted, willing to get this year's flu shot, and with an updated TDAP. The family is also looking for an experienced infant nanny, who has worked with babies 4 months or younger in a long-term full-time capacity.
