FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Two children, 2 years old and 6 months. UWS/UES

Overview

This incredibly sweet family is moving to New York City and are looking for two nannies for their almost 2 year old daughter and their six month old son. Ideally, they'd love to find a Mon/Tue/Wed nanny and a Thur/Fri/Sat nanny to get them the coverage they need! That's 33 hours for Mon-Wed and 26 hours for the Thur, Fri, Sat position. Need more hours? No problem, just let us know what combination of days works best (like Mon/Tues/Wed and Saturday, for example). They're looking for a nanny who is adaptable, likes to keep a tidy and clean space, and that is super warm and engaging! Bonus points if you speak French, or Dutch. They'd love to find a candidate that is passport ready and that can travel with them internationally! Hourly rate is flexible and based on experience! Most candidates will fall into the $30 to $40/hour range. Please ask if you have questions about this! The position comes with PTO, Sick Time, a MetroCard, and a possible healthcare stipend.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

For this position, the ability to manage two children (currently 21-months-old and 6-months-old) is essential. They're looking for an English speaker, but if you speak Dutch or French, that's a big plus! (Dad is Dutch). They're looking for a partner in raising their children, so somebody warm and welcoming, with excellent communication skills. You're also diligent and punctual! Mom and Dad both work very demanding jobs and reliability and punctuality are HUGE here. Able to travel internationally if asked, so get your passport ready. Knowledge of age-appropriate, developmental activities is required.

Schedule

This family is looking for two nannies to help cover their scheduling needs. First nanny: Monday - Wednesday 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM Second Nanny: Thursday & Friday 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM & Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM *This schedule is still TBD, as the family is relocating. It might shift up or down accordingly. Once set, they are still looking for adaptability and flexibility to start earlier or end later on occasion.

About the Children

21 months old, girl: She’s very observant and very care, very kind. She's shy at first. She does warm up to people. It can sometimes take a moment. She loves helping you! She watches and learn, and wants to help you. She brings her current nanny all her things to help. She loves her baby dolls! She lines them up and feeds them. At most, she'll be in a Pre-K program. If not, at a minimum, you'll head to music and other classes with her! 6 months, boy: He's loves music and it really helps soothe them. If you put on classical music, he'll chill right out. He did have acid reflux as a younger baby, but he’s on meds now and he’s better. He is a big, big boy! He eats A LOT and is getting started on solids.

Responsibilities

The family is moving to NYC and will arrive in early November, so you'll be helping them find their new rhythms and schedule. Aside from engaging the children, and navigating both of their developmental milestones, you'll keep the children's items organized, clean and properly put away bottles and children's items (this is a big one for mom!). Occasionally they'll ask you to do some additional light household chores. They'd love for you to set-up play dates and take both kids to classes.

Additional Information

Please be fully vaccinated, and open to additional vaccinations that keep baby safe, including a flu shot. Candidates that have experience with multiples are encouraged to apply!
