Calling all creatives! Would you love to spend your time playing pretend with two sweet kids in Brooklyn Heights and helping to expand their little imaginations? Maybe pretending you're mermaids or astronauts or cowboys? Can you perhaps connect with a 6-year-old girl about her love for ballet? Are you super responsible and dependable as well and can be trusted to safely get them around town and to their activities on time? This returning SmartFamily would love to meet you! They've connected well with artistic, performer-types in the past and would love to find someone like that again. It's $30 to $35/hour gross and the family can offer 20 hours/week guaranteed.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Artistic, creative personalities are great, particularly for the girl! Someone who is very dependable with the schedule and reliable is a must. You're super patient and loving as well. They also need someone who can help out with homework as well!

Schedule

Monday through Friday: 2:45 to 6:45.

About the Children

Boy, 8: Would love someone who can help with his 3rd grade homework! Girl, 6: In Ballet! Loves art and imagination games. Loves being read to. They are best friends and play really well together. They're silly kids, neither are shy, and bond well with babysitters. Really into arts and crafts!

Responsibilities

This role has pretty straightforward after-school responsibilities. You'll start with school pick-up, and take them to after-school activities once or twice a week. Mom might grab one of them on some days when they need to go to different places to help ensure everyone gets where they need to be. You'll mostly be taking the train with them, but might occasionally take an Uber for activities that are further away. After you're home, they'd love it if you could throw in a load of kid laundry every once in a while! You'll also help the older son with his homework and make sure it all gets done. On a slower day, you might plan something fun like an arts and crafts activity to do together. It would also be ideal to find someone who is flexible to work full days when the kids are out of school, mildly ill, or on random days off of school.
