Are you a responsible and creative part-time nanny who would love to build great relationships with two almost 13-year-old girls? Would you love to gush over the Wicked movie and hold space for the lyrics of Defying Gravity with a young fellow thespian? Do you have experience with older kids/young teens and love connecting with kids on their interests? This is the job for you. Starting in January, this SmartFamily on the Upper East Side is looking for an organized, detail-oriented part-time nanny during the school year, Monday through Thursday, to help care for their twins. One of the girls has a passion for Musical Theatre (and the other for horseback riding), and they would love to find someone who can connect on either of these interests. Homework help for the girls would also be great to have as well, and they're most likely looking for someone with a 4-year college degree. Apply to this stellar job today before it's gone! The Ideal Sitter for this Job

They would love to find someone energetic to be a big sibling type, a responsible adult "friend" for the girls. You're very responsible and street-smart when traveling around the city with kids. If you have a passion for musical theatre or horseback riding, they would love to chat with you! You're incredibly organized and smart, and they're ideally looking for someone with a 4 year college degree. Their current nanny is incredibly organized and tech-savvy, and is wonderful at keeping track of emails from the school and managing the girls' schedules, so this is something they'd love to find again. Speaking of, their current nanny has been with the family the girls' entire lives (she's leaving to start her own family)!

Schedule

Most days will be: Monday through Thursday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM School dismissal is at 3:25, and occasionally you'll start at that time. However, you’ll usually be there at 4. They're also looking for someone flexible to stay late on occasion.

About the Children

Twin girl, about to be 13: An equestrian! Loves horses. Twin girl, about to be 13: Loves musical theatre! Both play squash.

Responsibilities

You'll start the day transporting (likely just one of) the girls to after-school activities. Their Mom will usually also take one, as their activities start at similar times. Mom will usually cook dinner, but you might also do light meal prep every so often, and you'll want to tidy up after the girls and yourself, leaving the space cleaner than you found it. Their current nanny is very helpful with homework, so it would be a great to have to find someone who can assist with their middle school homework, if possible. A Spanish speaker (alternatively, someone who took Latin at some point) would also be a bonus, but isn't a hard requirement. This is most likely a school-year-only position. They’re fully away for the summer.
