Are you a toddler enthusiast? Have you been doing this for AWHILE and have all the potty training tricks down? Is your dream job hanging out all day with one very sweet and very cute toddler? We have the position for you! This Carrol Gardens, Brooklyn family is looking for their first ever nanny. Their little guy has been spending all his days with Grandma, whom he adores but who is unfortunately moving. He's very attached to her so there will be some adjustment time but he's looking forward to finding his new best friend! Mom and Dad both work hybrid and one of them is home most days. This is a great position for seasoned nannies that like to work on a team, have excellent communication skills, and are enamored with toddlers! The position is 50 hours/week and includes 10 hours of overtime at time and a half. It's paid on the books, no exceptions. Starting rate is $30/hour and can go up depending on experience. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The family is open but ideally would like to find a seasoned professional who has energy! Somebody very active will be needed to run after this guy. They're also looking for somebody flexible and who has good communication skills. Mom has an unpredictable job and occasionally she may need you to stay late. It's a two way street of course - if there is a day that you need to leave exactly at 6 PM, just let them know so they can accommodate! Beyond that, they're looking for a true team player. While you would literally change their life doing the little guy's laundry twice a week, or picking up milk unprompted they know a nanny is not a housekeeper. They'd just love to find somebody who is happy to be helpful! If you are truly delighted by toddlers and are super patient they'd love to meet you.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:30 AM 6:30 PM The family is happy to guarantee 50 hours/week, paid on the books and including overtime.

About the Children

18 months old, boy: He's a super fun age right now, he's a little sponge. He learns three new words everyday. He's into multi syllabic words right now! He's a happy go lucky kinda guy. They bring him to a little gym class a couple times a week and he's a big star there - Mr. Popular! When he meets new people, he can gets quiet and withdrawn at first. It does take him a minute but then he comes right of his shell. He's changing so fast and learning so fast - anything you say in front of him, he may say back to you tomorrow (so be careful!)

Responsibilities

Both parents do work from home from time to time, dad is home on Thursday and Fridays, and Mom will be home on Mondays. They'd love for you to plug in to their existing scheduling, helping take him to activities, keeping him engaged and finding fun things for you to do together! On a household level you would change their life by doing his laundry a few times per week, unloading and loading the dishwasher...even just picking up milk when they need it. Mom and Dad have busy jobs so they really need somebody who can take initiative.
