Overview

This new SmartFamily on the Upper West Side is looking for a rockstar Family Assistant to join their team, help their days run smoothly, and care for their three children. They have twin first graders, a boy and a girl, and their little sister, who is 3! They're looking for someone extremely engaging who truly enjoys helping the children thrive however possible. You're also extremely detail-oriented, and keep track of the little things, like ensuring the gym uniforms are ready to go for the next day, and that the boy has his piano books when you take him to his lesson. You're professional, organized and have experience with multiples. A candidate with a background in education would be ideal, but isn't required. The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You are an energetic, dependable individual excited to come into a home and get things done without instruction. Both parents have extremely busy schedules, so they're looking for someone is an independent worker and is confident in making executive decisions. The ideal candidate can easily keep track of the little details, like what the kids will need ready for the next day and the foresight to ensure it's all taken care of ahead of time. You're also extremely professional and are comfortable representing their family well. You're also active yourself, and can chase after three busy kiddos! Their last nanny was incredibly nurturing and truly loved their kids, and they're looking for the same with their next as well. On the same note, their current nanny speaks French, which is extremely helpful as the daughter speaks French, so this would be a big bonus to have, but isn't required.

Schedule

Monday and Friday 12:15 PM (sometimes Fridays will be 1:45 PM) to 6:45/7:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 6:45/7:00 PM When Dad travels, sometimes there may be a few more hours with notice.

About the Children

Twins, boy and girl, 1 grade: They go to different schools! 3.5 girl: In preschool now, but next year will go to one of her siblings' schools. All really bright! A great personality fit is important to them. They have a lot of love to give!

Responsibilities

The Family Assistant in this role is here to make the days run as smoothly as possible and be an extension of the parents. During the day, that will include household tasks such as tidying the kids' rooms and shared spaces, doing the dishes and running the dishwasher, doing some meal prep, throwing in and folding laundry, and whatever else might need to get done. In the afternoon, you'll handle the after-school routine! You'll be getting them where they need to go, but they also have a babysitter who helps out from time to time with shuffling the kids to activities and tutoring, as there are some days you won't be able to be in multiple places at once. It's not required for you to travel abroad with them, but if you want to, you're welcome to do so when they do. They also have a home in the Hamptons, and go there for 5 weeks in the summer. It's preferred for you to go with them during this time, and if you do, you'll need to drive and swim. For the right candidate, however, who isn't able to go, they may be open to finding someone else for their time away.

Additional Information

Notes on travel: You are not required to travel abroad with them, but when they do, you're welcome to come along if you wish to. They are in the Hamptons for 5 weeks in the summer, and it's preferred for you to go with them during this time, and if you do, you'll need to drive and swim.
