Do you love being a super positive, encouraging force in a young kid's life? Are you a sports fan, and maybe have a passion for hockey? Do you find joy in helping the kids in your care achieve their goals? This new SmartFamily on the Upper East Side would love to meet you. They're looking for a light part-time nanny to help safely transport their daughter after school, but also build a great relationship with her. You'll be picking up the sporty 7-year-old from the UWS, taking her to hockey, and then taking her home and finishing out the night on the Upper East Side. They're looking for a very responsible adult "friend" who will help lovingly push her to be her best self and support her all along the way. Does this sound like you? Apply now! The Ideal Sitter for this Job

They're looking for a mature, experienced nanny who is positive and patient to motivate the girl to try her best. Almost like a super encouraging coach! Bonus points if you're into sports, especially hockey! However if not, that's also great. You're active and proactive, and you'll jump right in to get things done. Mom is looking for an independent worker, rather than someone who texts her for answers on every little thing. You're flexible, can help out however needed; you can take action and make independent decisions. The family is looking for someone who can encourage their daughter to be social, and help her facilitate friendships (and help her navigate the challenges that she'll encounter with friends along the way). You're a role model for her to look up to, and someone she'll think is almost like a fun, responsible adult "friend".

Wednesdays and Fridays 2:45 PM to 7:45 PM With the ability to stay a bit later (an hour or so) on occasion

About the Children

Girl, 7: Super sporty and athletic, she plays hockey! Needs some positive (but firm) encouragement every now and again.

Responsibilities

You'll start the day picking up the girl from her school on Wednesdays and Fridays on the Upper West Side! You'll then take her to her after-school activities, which is typically hockey in Long Island City. You'll take her there in an Uber. After, you'll head back to the Upper East Side, and either make dinner or grab dinner out. After at home, you'll help her with bath and bedtime routine before heading home for the night.
