Overview

This lovely family moved to Rye recently and are saying goodbye to their NYC based nanny, who helped them with the transition. They adore living in Rye and taking part in all the fun, family friendly activities the area has to offer! They have one 2-year-old son who is a ton of fun, and Mom has a baby on the way, due in the Fall. They're looking for a nanny who can join their team for a few years to come, as their family grows! If you love working with multiples under 4, and are looking for a position you can grow with, this is the job for you. It's $62k to $72K per year, plus benefits. Driving is required, but you do not need your own car. They're looking for a candidate who is up-to-date on vaccines for when the baby arrives, and has an up-to-date CPR. Experience with toddlers and infants is required.

They're looking for somebody who understands the early years - all the milestones and development that occur in these first four years. Somebody who truly enjoys the work they do and will be a warm, patient, caring companion to the 2-year-old, while being their new baby's first ever nanny! Schedule

Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week

About the Children

2-years-old, boy: He turned two in October and is a kind, social, and creative child. He is very observant and curious, but is also brave, independent and can be rambunctious. He loves reading books, drawing, dancing, music, going to classes at the library and at MyGym, and having playdates with friends. He has an innate curiosity surrounding how things work, and we do our best to encourage that curiosity and let him guide us to where his interests continue to develop. He does not have any food allergies but does have sensitive skin

Responsibilities

Right now, the main responsibility is attending to the 2-year-old! Keeping him on his schedule and taking him to activities. The family likes to keep him in social settings as much as possible, but does prioritize him taking his naps at home in his crib. You'll be asked to do his laundry once or twice a week, during nap time, and help with cooking duties, which are split between Mom and the Nanny. When the baby comes in the Fall, the 2-year-old will be in a preschool program, so mornings will be spent with the baby and afternoons will be spent with both!

Driving is required, but you do not need your own car. You'll need to be up-to-date on vaccines and CPR.
