Overview

This super lovely family just had their first baby! He's a real sweetheart and has been with Mom, Dad, and his Newborn Care Specialist since arriving 10 weeks ago. Their NCS is leaving very soon and it will just be Mom with the little guy until she returns to work in April. Both Mom and Dad have very big jobs and are looking for a nanny to partner and grow with them! It's $1650 to $1925/week, including overtime, and depending on experience. The position is 100% paid on the books, no exceptions. They are looking to interview during the weeks of 2/10 and 2/17, with trials shortly after that, and a mid March start date (before Mom heads back to work in April).

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

Do you have certification in infant care, early childhood education or safety? Be sure to mention that in your application! At a minimum, the family is looking for candidates with solid prior newborn experience and that has a recent Covid booster, TDAP vaccine and Flu shot. They also require an up to date infant CPR certification and First Aid training. Beyond that, they are looking for someone who wants to (and has the experience and knowledge to) play an active role in helping them navigate their baby's milestones and developments (i.e., has thoughts/philosophies on when/how to introduce solid foods into his diet, when to take him out of a swaddle, etc.). However, they also want to make sure the person is willing to be deferential and flexible to Mom and Dad's thoughts and needs as a family. They want to be on a team with you! Finally, Mom and Dad both have demanding jobs, so finding someone who is flexible, available, and reliable is beyond crucial. They'd love to find someone who is willing to travel with them (both domestic and abroad) when needed.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 8 AM to 6 PM They are happy to guarantee 50 hours/week. They would love to find somebody who can occasionally shift their schedule around to stay late, work weekends, or coming early. They are happy to compensate accordingly, provide dinners, and provide an Uber home on those occasionas.

About the Children

Boy, 10 weeks old: He is a sweet, funny, and all around wonderful ten week old. He loves playing in his crib and listening to music. He is generally a very easy baby and is on a routine schedule — eating 4 times a day and napping 3 times a day. He is looking for a nanny who will love him as a newborn and grow with him as he grows!!!

Responsibilities

All the baby things! You'll be following what their newborn care specialist has set out at first out. Sanitizing bottles, keeping him on his routine, attending to his development and all the typical requirements for a position like this.

Additional Information

Proof of TDAP, Covid booster, and Flu shots required. Infant CPR and First Aid required. Ability and willingness to travel are required.
