PART-TIME NANNY: 2 boys in the West Village!
Overview
Are you a sporty, active part-time nanny who would love to hang with two brothers who are the best of friends? This new SmartFamily would love to chat with you! They're located in the West Village and are looking for an after school nanny to care for their 10 and 11 year old boys, three or four days per week. They work really hard in school, so in addition to shuttling them to their after school activities, the parents would love for you to let them have some fun. You might take them to the park, the movies, or a museum here and there! Please note that this position is school-year-only, as the family is away for the summer. If it's a great fit, you could discuss pausing in the summer and continuing in the fall, but they definitely don't need care during summer break. It's $33 to $35/hour gross for 12-16 hours per week guaranteed.
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
You're great with older kids! They'd love to find someone sporty, and active who will enjoy engaging them and joining in on the fun, for example playing basketball with them. You love the idea of spending an afternoon in the park with some fun kids. You're proactive and really enjoy building connections with the kids in your care; you'd love to come up with fun activities.
Schedule
Monday - Wednesday; Thursday is TBD! 3 PM to 6:30 or 7:00 PM. They're happy to guarantee 4 hours/day if you need it, but if 3.5 works for you, that's great too.
About the Children
Boy, 11: The older brother is very artistic, and really talented. Super social, and has lots of friends. He's a bit of an introvert, social battery is low by the end of the day, so he might need some alone time. Likes Manga! Boy, 10: The younger brother is super energetic, loves sports and is really active. Definitely wants to be around people 24/7. Both are doing well in school, and are quite studious. Only 13 months apart, they share a lot of friends, and these two are besties.
Responsibilities
You'll start the day with school pick up, and safely transport them to any scheduled activities they need to get to. If they don't have anything planned that day, you'll come up with something to do! You might suggest catching the newest Marvel movie or checking out a new exhibit at a museum. You're also happy to let the eldest have his downtime when he needs it, and perhaps do an activity with the youngest at home while his older brother reads.
Additional Information
Please note that this position is school-year-only, as the family is away for the summer. If it's a great fit, you could discuss pausing in the summer and continuing in the fall.
