Overview

This new SmartFamily is looking for a light part-time nanny to care for their 2-year-old son a few days a week in Greenpoint. They are looking for someone who has previous nannying experience with toddlers and can help encourage his speech development as much as possible. They'd love someone organized, familiar with Montessori, and willing to help his social skills thrive. They'd especially love to find someone who can help set up playdates and befriend other nannies in the neighborhood! If you speak Russian, that's a big plus as they speak it at home, but it's not at all required. It's $30 to $35/hour and they're willing to offer 8-12 hours/week.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You have great toddler experience! They would love love to find someone who is tidy and organized, familiar with play-based or Montessori approaches, and experienced in speech development. They speak Russian at home, so if you have that skill, great! However it's not required; the family is prioritizing an experienced nanny who is a great personality fit.

Schedule

2-3 weekdays a week, but open to a Saturday as well Could be all mornings from about 8 to 12, or they could be flexible for two mornings and an afternoon. Please let us know what schedule works best for you.

About the Children

Boy, 2.5: A curious, fun and playful toddler!

Responsibilities

You'll spend a few hours with their little guy doing enriching activities (they'd love to find someone familiar with play-based or Montessori approaches). When you get a moment of downtime, you'll do some light child-related household tasks such as organizing his toys or otherwise tidying around the house. They're based in Greenpoint, and it would be a huge plus if the nanny knows other nannies in the area (or is willing to make some friends at the playground) so their little guy can make new friends too, and you can organize some playdates.

Additional Information

As with any other position, you'll need to have been CPR certified in-person and have been updated in the past 2 years!
