Would you love spending your days with one adorable 4-year-old girl, doing awesome arts and crafts activities, or having a spontaneous dance party? They're looking for a fun, creative and hardworking nanny to care for their little girl, both in Tribeca during the school year, and in the Hamptons during the week in July and August (you'd go home on weekends). That might mean working one day a week or on a weekend day each week if you're still finishing up a current after school role, or they can offer more hours, if you'd need that sooner. They just want everyone to be super settled in and comfortable before you all go to the Hamptons together. It's $35/hour plus PTO, Sick Time and a MetroCard and they're happy to guarantee 25 hours/week.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

You're super creative and fun! You're an experienced, professional part-time nanny who has worked in a long-term, part-time setting before (2+ years of experience required with long-term nanny families). You also have an artistic side and can bond with her on her love of all things artistic. You might learn a new song together or have an impromptu dance party! They'd also love someone who can plan fun things like an arts and crafts activity together. You're also organized, responsible and proactive, and are happy to help with things like the child's laundry, and meal prepping for her as well.

Schedule

Hamptons schedule: Monday through Friday; Morning shift is around 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Afternoon shift is around 3 PM to 8 PM. NYC schedule: Monday through Friday 2 PM to 7 PM

About the Children

Girl, 4: Showing some interest in dancing and singing! Loves imaginative play. She would love someone who will really love engaging with her in play, crafting, or dress up.

Responsibilities

This position includes both time in the Hamptons this summer, starting in July, and then after school hours in Tribeca during the school year. In the Hamptons, you'll start your day in the morning around 7:30 AM getting the girl up, through her morning routine and off to camp by 8:30. You'll have a break in the day, and then you'll continue in the afternoon around 3:00 when she's done with camp. You'll spend some time together in the afternoons, then prepare dinner for her, give her a bath, and put her down for bedtime. In both NYC and the Hamptons, you'll fill her time with fun, artistic activities. In the Hamptons, there may be swimming involved so the ability to swim is required for this role. This means you can swim well enough to, for example, jump into the deep end if the child falls in and get her to safety, not just being comfortable standing in the shallow end. Household tasks in both situations include meal prep and laundry for the child, and keeping her space tidy.

Ability to swim and drive required! Like all Smart Sitting referrals, an in-person CPR certification is required.
