Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for nannies who are looking for supplemental hours or a two-day-per-week position. If you'd love to get in all of your hours in two days and then spend five days free, this could be a great fit! This very kind and generous family has one charming-year-old baby girl. They have a Monday through Thursday Nanny already, that they adore, so this position is just for Friday and Saturday. The family has two homes - one in the West Village and one in Bridgehampton. They relocate to Bridgehampton each June and stay through September, so you would spend Friday night with them there and depart back to NYC on Saturday once your shift is over. The position is completely child-focused. They are looking for a nanny that swims, drives and is up to date on their CPR certification. Ideally, candidates will have at least 5 to 10 years of experience. Experience with multiples, including 2 children under 3, will also be prioritized since this family plans on expanding. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply! It's $40,040 per year ($35/hour for 22 hours/week guaranteed), on the books, plus benefits.

The Ideal Sitter for this Job

The ideal nanny for this role will have at least 5 to 10 years of experience, including a good amount of experience with this age group. A confident professional who can easily transition into the role and make it their own. The family is looking to work with a highly proactive nanny, prepared, a team player. You will need to have a valid driver's license and passport and know how to swim since they have a pool at their home in Bridgehampton. They are growing their family, so nannies who have experience with two children under 3 will be prioritized. You must be 19 compliant and able to be paid on the books. You should have an in-person CPR certification from the past two years or be willing to get it before a trial.

Schedule

Friday: 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM Saturday: 10 AM to 6 PM These hours are approximate and may shift up or down a bit depending on the needs of the family. Friday is a longer day, with a date night included and Saturday is shorter.

About the Children

1-year-old, girl: She's very curious! She's hyper aware and loves to observe people. She gets hyper focused on whatever she does and can be very determined. She loves to laugh. When not being a sweet, giggly girl, she typically stays very calm. She learns Spanish from her Mom and English from her Dad. Everyone who meets her says she is the sweetest, happiest baby to be around!

Responsibilities

This position is all about baby! You'll be in charge of her entire day, following the schedule that she is currently on. For early mornings, you'll help with breakfast and tidying up, getting her dressed, and taking her to activities, or planning activities, when she's not napping. Light household responsibilities, all pertaining to her, are expected including her laundry, cooking and planning meals for her, pulling out clothes that don't fit any longer, finding developmentally appropriate activities and making suggestions on classes, washing and sanitizing her toys, bottles, etc.
